In its first month of operation, Amazon.com was averaging five-figure sales and could count customers in all fifty states as well as several foreign countries.

But Bezos was not content to stop there. He had big dreams for Amazon.com, and wanted it to become the first website that online consumers go to for whatever their shopping needs. So Bezos continually added other products besides books to the Amazon.com lineup.

These days, shoppers can buy CDs, DVDs, gourmet food, jewelry, computers, furniture, and just about everything else at Amazon.com. Bezos took his company public in 1997, and became a billionaire soon after.

The company, now in its tenth year of operation, has shown no signs of slowing down and remains one of the most popular websites on the Internet. I do quite a bit of shopping online, so I can certainly understand why Amazon.com is so appealing to consumers.

First of all, you really can find almost any kind of product on that site. The selection is just amazing, and I find that it’s much more convenient for me to do my shopping from a single site than to have to track orders from several different ones.

For example, if I want to purchase a sweater, a bag of cat food, a DVD, and a bread machine, I would ordinarily have to order from several different stores. That would mean filling out four different order forms, paying for shipping four separate times, and tracking four different packages to make sure that I actually receive my orders.

That’s not very convenient at all! But with Amazon.com, I can order all four items from the same site and do all of those other things just once. A second reason that I like Amazon.com is that their prices are very competitive compared to other online retailers. The regular prices of all merchandise on the site is discounted to begin with, and they almost always have some kind of special sale or promotion going on.

I’ve never paid full price when buying something from Amazon.com, which is definitely a good thing. A third reason that I like Amazon.com is that they have product reviews from consumers right on the order page. Before I spend my hard-earned money on something, I can read reviews from other regular people to see how the products worked for them.

I have to admit that I’ve changed my mind about several purchases on the strength of the reviews I read on Amazon.com. Overall, I can honestly say that I’ve never had a problem with an Amazon.com order in the five years that I’ve been shopping there. If you’re looking for a comprehensive online retailer for your shopping needs, then I recommend checking them out.

I first got interested in aircraft designs when I was a kid. Of course, back then, it was mostly paper aircraft designs and aviation posters which captured my attention, but none the less, I was fascinated by what would make something fly.

I did at least three separate papers on aircraft designs, with different tacks and increasing sophistication each time. My first was on the Wright Brothers, and the bizarrely designed aircraft which became the first airplane in the world to fly. I gave this as a report to my third grade class, and the teacher loved it, as did the other students.

My next aircraft designs paper was given for my ninth grade science class. At that point, I was really interested in fighter aircraft design, and I did a really impressively sophisticated paper about swept wing fighters. These aircraft were made for fast, highly maneuverable flying, so their swept back wings could give them an edge over other airplanes of the time.

The interesting thing about the swept wing fighter planes, is that some of them had pivoting wings which could move forward to give them stable, low speed flights. These ingenious aircraft designs meant that they could speed up to reach their targets, and then slow down for close dogfights.

Now my interest in aircraft designs has changed to a more humble craft: the four seater personal aircraft. I recently purchased aircraft plans for my very own and began work. It is much more difficult than you would think.

If you are building a boat, or even a car, you only need to be able to insure that it can float or drive, but if you build an airplane, you need to do more than that. It is not enough for it just to be able to fly, it has to be reviewed and found to be safe for flight, or else it won’t be allowed off the ground.

Because of this, modern aircraft designs cover not only the actual shape of the airplane parts, but also the materials and ways that they must be combined. This is done in great detail, to give you all of the information you need to make an aircraft which complies with FAA regulations.

These regulations are difficult to meet, and your aircraft has to be inspected by professionals before it is allowed off of the ground. But believe me, the thrill of flying your very own plane makes it all worth it.

Aggressive investors commonly do most of their investing in the stock market, which is higher risk. They also tend to invest in business ventures as well as higher risk real estate.

For instance, if an aggressive investor puts his or her money into an older apartment building, then invests more money renovating the property, they are running a risk. They expect to be able to rent the apartments out for more money than the apartments are currently worth – or to sell the entire property for a profit on their initial investments. In some cases, this works out just fine, and in other cases, it doesn’t. It’s a risk.

Before you start investing, it is very important that you learn about the different types of investments, and what those investments can do for you. Understand the risks involved, and pay attention to past trends as well. History does indeed repeat itself, and investors know this first hand!
